Yes you can make money with Forex but you have to be very wise and study and test your methods on a practice account before investing any capital. Forex trading does come with high risk and there is a chance of loosing money as there is gaining.

In this post, I am going to explain what Forex trading is all about and share some of the tips and tricks I have picked up through my weeks of study.

Forex Trading – The Basics

Forex market or currency market or simply FX is where currency trading occurs. People who log into the market can exchange (buy / sell) currencies from one to another and is the backbone of international trade and investment between countries. The Forex market is much bigger than the stock exchange with billions of dollars being exchanged on a daily basis.

Individuals can easily join the market and exchange almost any amount of money they so desire, some trade big while other are more cautious and risk only a few dollars. Unlike the stock exchange the Forex market is open 24 hours a day(except weekends) and you can trade anywhere in the world.

How Does Forex Trading Work

When you buy a particular currency for example US Dollar, you choose which currency to exchange it against, (e.g. USDollar/ Euro) and this is called a trading pair. So if you wish to make trade on the dollar you would search to see which currency it is doing well against and then make the trade.

How to Get Started

In order to start trading you need to registrar with a broker, Normally it is free to open and account and brokers make their money through commissions on your trades. Be warned as brokers charge different fees so you should look around for a good broker before signing up.

I have used brokers E-torro and Go-markets to trade, both were good. I preferred the meta-trader set up for Go-markets but E-torro was great for beginners and had cool feature which allowed you to copy other successful traders on autopilot which is great if you are unsure on what to trade.

Once signed up, all you need to do is add funds money to your forex trading account and start trading.

But like I mentioned earlier, study and practice first or you will see your money disappear fast. Only 5% of traders ever succeed and this usually to people diving and trading on anything that takes their fancy.
Nearly all brokers offer a free practice account in which you can trade with virtual money but use real time features such as price quotes, charts etc.

Forex Tips and Tricks

1. Never invest money into a real Forex account until you practice on a Forex Demo account!
You should allow at least two months of practicing on a trading demo demo trading before risking any real money.

2. Study Forex Trading
Before even considering dabbling in forex you should study. Read books, watch videos visit forex sites learn as much as possible on how to trade successfully. Any attempt to trade without analysis and studying the market is equal to a game. Games are fun except when you lose real money.

3. Go with the trend!
Trend is your friend. You should always go with the trend to maximize your chances of a successful trade. Trading against the trend won’t “kill” a trader, but will definitely require more attention, nerves and sharper skills.

4. Always check the bigger time frame
Before placing a trade you should take a look at larger time frame than the one you are planning to trade with. It gives a bigger picture of market price movements and thus helps to clearly define the trend.

For example, when trading with a 15 minute time frame, take a look at 1 hour charts to make sure the trend is definitely heading in the right direction.

5. Leave emotions behind, trade with calm.
Sometimes we find ourselves wanting to recoup losses and end up making reckless trades which usually lead to a bigger loss. If you make a loss accept it and if you are wining don’t let greed become the better of you.

6. Choose the time frame that is right for you.
It is advisable to play around on a demo account to find the time frame that you are comfortable with. Select a time frame which gives enough time to analyze the market, place and close orders.

7. Use protective stops and don’t move them.
If you are on a losing trade don’t go moving your stop loss hoping that the market will turn in your direction, this will only lead to greater losses.

8. Keep it simple
Don’t go overboard with too many indicators, signals and trading strategies.
Too much information can cause confusion.

9. Cut your losses short.
It’s better to finish a losing trade quickly rather than wait for the situation to get worse. Also don’t put your stop loss too far, after all it’s your money you risk.

Could you actually picture anybody else other than Leonard Nimoy playing Spock or a different Captain Kirk?

Well for every actor that won the part on Star Trek there were dozens that auditioned and missed out on the opportunity. So, if you are curious to see who came close to playing our favorite star trek characters then read.

1. Linda Hamilton as Captain Kathryn Janeway

Even though I liked Voyager I never really liked the captain, even though Mulgrew’s performance might have been pretty genuine as to what a female starship captain could actually resemble. She was never quite as good as the other star ship captains and why did she talk in whispers, that was so annoying. If Linda Hamilton had got the part Voyager would have been a very different series after all who doesn’t like Sarah Connor? Besides killer robots from the future.

2. Sean Connery as Sybok

Star Trek V was not a great movie but can you imagine how much better it may have been if Sean Connery had gone ahead with the role of Spock’s half brother, Sybok. Even though Gene Roddenberry never managed to get the ex James Bond star they still left his name in the movie – “Sha Ka Ree”

3. Martin Landau as Lieutenant Commander Spock

It’s difficult to picture virtually anyone else instead of Leonard Nimoy filling Spock’s pointy ears and bowl haircut. However, the part of the green blooded vulcan was actually turned by Oscar-winner Martin Landau as he decided to star in the show Mission: Impossible instead.

4. Lloyd Bridges as Captain Christopher Pike

Captain Pike was the original captain of the Enterprise and only appeared in the original pilot “The Cage” and the two-parter “The Menagerie”. Unfortunately for Roddenberry the pilot was a flop and Gene, eager not to let his dream slip away re-shot the pilot with Shatner as the captain of the Enterprise. Of course Jeffery Archer was great as Pike but maybe if Lloyd Bridges had taken the role as planned it might have been a different story.

5. Jack Lord as Captain James T. Kirk

Who can imagine Star Trek without William Shatner with his famous slow overacting and scene-stealing char. If Roddenberry had chosen to go with his first choice for Captain Kirk, we would have been watching Jack Lord as the young captain. But Lord demanded 50 percent ownership of the show, which is why Roddenberry went with Shatner. So, not only would a major role have been changed, but we might have had a very different Star Trek without Roddenberry’s complete control of the franchise.

So I decided to do some research to find out some other cities with strange names and these are the results below. When browsing through the gallery remember that these are actual places around the world.

The flower with the world’s largest bloom is the Rafflesia arnoldii. This rare flower is found in the rainforests of Indonesia and it can grow up to three feet wide and weigh up to 15 pounds!

The Rafflesia arnoldii is a parasitic plant, with no visible leaves, roots, or stem. It attaches itself to a host plant to obtain water and nutrients. When in bloom, the Rafflesia emits a repulsive odor, similar to that of rotting meat. This odor attracts insects that pollinate the plant.

Another enormous flower found in Indonesia is the “Amorphophallus Titanum”, or Titan Arum. It is also known as the “corpse flower” for its unpleasant odor. Like the Rafflesia, the Titan emits the smell of rotting flesh to attract pollinators. It’s not the largest flower because, technically, the Titan Arum is not a single flower. It is a cluster of many tiny flowers, called an inflorescence.

The Titan has the largest unbranched inflorescence of all flowering plants it can reach 7 to 12 feet in height and weighs as much as 170 pounds.

Are you an honest person?

To be an honest person should be simple but being truly honest with others and yourself can be a real challenge at times. Political correctness, being sensitive of other people’s feelings, and facing uncomfortable truths about yourself usually requires lots of patience, vigilance and hard work.

Usually, the height varies somewhere between 6 and 10 inches (15 and 25 cm) at the withers however a few chihuahuas have been known to grow as tall as 12 to 15 inches (30 to 38 cm).

Both British and American breed standards claim that a Chihuahua should never weigh in excess of 6.0 pounds (2.7 kg), but the British standard also states that a weight of 2-4 lb (0.91-1.8 kg) is recommended and therefore if two dogs are equally good in type, the more smaller is preferred.

There are two types of Chihuahua: the smooth-coat and the long-coat. Both are more or less genetically the same breed, even though you won’t find both in the same litter. The long-haired chihuahua require no trimming and minimal grooming. Also it is said that the long-haired breed tends to molt less than their short-haired cousins. It can take as long as two or more years before a full long-haired coat develops.

There are several other breeds that could also claim to be the smallest dog such as the Yorkshire Terrier, and the Pomeranian. These breeds generally weigh under 10 pounds.

The Yorkshire Terrier usually have a long, flowing coat in tan and weigh between 4 and 7 pounds. The Pomeranian is also a tiny dog that weighs between 3 and 7 pounds.

Even though the above dog breeds are classed as being the smallest the title of “World’s Smallest Dog” currently belongs to a dog named Gracie that is a Pug. She weighs one pound and six ounces and is less than six inches tall. It is suspected that Gracie suffers from a form of dwarfism. Pugs generally weigh around 18 pounds and stand up to 10 inches tall.

It’s a place of strange life forms, mountains of gold, deadly volcanoes, and more than one astonishing secret. Unable to stop him from going, Sean’s new stepfather, Hank (Dwayne Johnson -”The Rock”), joins the quest.
