Learn How Faith The Two Legged Dog Beat All Odds And Walked
Faith the two legged dog was born with the all the odds against her, she was rejected by her mother, couldn’t walk and her owner was informed by numerous vets to have her put down. But Jude Stringfellow had Faith in the little pup and with love and devotion Jude taught the little dog to walk on her two hind legs.
Who is Faith The Dog
Faith is a female Labrador-chow mix dog that has no front legs and is often spotted walking on her hind legs around shops in her home town of Avon, Indiana. Due to her incredible story, Faith has become a bit of a celebrity appearing on numerous US talk shows including Oprah.
The small yellow canine has also become a symbol of hope for injured soldiers and was given an Honorary Commission as an E5 SGT in the U.S. Army in June 2006.
The Dog Faith’s Past
Faith was born to a junkyard dog called Princess in December 2002. Her hind legs were perfectly developed but unfortunately she only had one front leg which was deformed. Seventeen year old Reuben Stringfellow discovered the puppy as the mother was attempting to smother her. Quickly he rescued the little pup and took it back home to his mother, Jude.
They instantly fell in love with the little dog and adopted her. Faith’s deformed front leg was so bad it had to be amputated and her new owners had to carry her everywhere for the first few months but eventually, with a lot of patience, and tons of peanut butter as a lure, Faith learned to walk on her two hind legs.
The Future For The Dog Faith.
Ms Stringfellow regularly takes Faith to veterans hospitals across the US to provide hope to disabled soldiers, a mission inspired by her son’s service in the US army in Iraq.
Jude has become a motivational speaker and currently runs a website devoted to her tiny dog which receives more than 200 letters and emails a day from fans of Faith. Ms Stringfellow has also released a new book titled Faith Walks which tells the entire story of Faith’s life from an almost impossible beginning to her greatest and most wonderful achievements.
Faith has her own Facebook page, Twitter account and was even asked to play a part in the last Harry Potter movie.
